Charity Bowl 2010: Beat Hunger is the Ohio State Alumni Association's effort to assist food banks both locally and around the country by encouraging alumni and friends to join the fight to beat hunger.

Every dollar donated to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank provides $8 worth of groceries for families in need.

Who will be helped by your donation to the Mid-Ohio Foodbank?

• 36% of the food requests at the Foodbank?s network of food pantries are for children.
• 13% of the requests at area pantries are for senior citizens.
• 57% of the people served have had to choose between food and utilities.
• 43% of people served at area pantries have had to choose between food and shelter.
